Mt Dudley Gold
The Mt Dudley Exploration Licence (EL5748), located 5 km northwest of Trunkey and near Blayney in New South Wales, is 100% owned by Argent Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Argent Minerals Limited. The area is accessible via the sealed Bathurst-Abercrombie Road and Colo Road.
The project includes several historic workings, notably the Mt Dudley Mine, Scabben Flat, and Golden Wattle workings, along with smaller unnamed pits. Discovered in 1913, the Mt Dudley Mine produced 2,268 ounces of gold from 2,845 tonnes of ore at an average grade of 24.8 g/t Au between 1913 and 1922. Selective mining left approximately 9,000 tonnes of untreated material on-site. The Scabben Flat workings, with recorded production of 42 ounces of gold from 394 tonnes, were intermittently active between 1893 and 1917.
Gold mineralisation extends along a 630 m north-oriented strike, with multiple lodes 5–6 m thick forming a 30 m-wide package dipping 65° west. The resource is modeled to a depth of 95 m, with mineralisation remaining open at depth. A global inferred resource estimate totals 882,636 tonnes at 1.03 g/t Au, containing 29,238 ounces of gold.
Historical and recent drill data highlight significant gold intercepts, reinforcing the potential for further exploration at depth and along strike.
